What you missed at Vogue Business Fashion Futures

A slew of circular startups have burst onto the scene in recent years, hoping to tackle some of the industry’s biggest sustainability challenges. However, many are still in a low-maturity pilot phase. The primary barrier to scaling these initiatives? Financial viability. Customer-facing circular platforms also need to educate and onboard more users, according to a recent report by the UK-based Circular Fashion Innovation Network.

The question of how to scale circular startups and responsible brands was in focus at the latest Vogue Business Fashion Futures event, held at Somerset House in London. Around 200 industry stakeholders gathered for a series of panels and keynote sessions, which unpacked the realities of scaling fashion brands that challenge the status quo of production and raising capital for a range of companies at different stages of growth. We also heard from suppliers — i.e. the ones that will have to implement so many of the changes needed to move fashion to a more positive future.

The Vogue Business innovation showcase brought together a range of companies and founders to exhibit new tools that could be used to better the fashion industry. You can view the gallery virtually here.
