Retailers and brands looking to access their data on Aptos will find it a whole lot easier this year as the company is now going to use the Snowflake AI Data Cloud.
“Through Snowflake’s single, integrated platform, Aptos customers will easily and securely get unified commerce data from Aptos using Snowflake’s data-sharing capabilities,” the company said, adding that it is currently mapping its data models in Snowflake for each of its software applications, which includes Aptos POS, OMS, Merchandising, CRM and Sales Audit.
Aptos said following a phased rollout this year, Snowflake “will become the de facto way that Aptos’ SaaS customers access their data within Aptos’ solutions — whether that data relates to transactions, orders, inventory or customers.”
Nikki Baird, vice president of strategy and product at Aptos, said when the company first started its unified commerce journey, “we had to make tradeoffs between operational insights and overall business insights — which makes it challenging to truly achieve a unified view of a retailer’s data. With our data transformation, we are not only providing that unified view, we are also revolutionizing the way our customers access and leverage data. We see unlimited opportunities for retailers to visualize and analyze their unified commerce data in new and different ways.”

Baird said the company has “big goals for this project that go beyond exposing the data contained in solutions in a more streamlined and extensible way.” She said Aptos wants to help retailers “make meaningful data connections across solutions to understand their business at a deeper level. For example, when you think about order data contained in an OMS solution, that data has value beyond just the operational aspect of OMS. Retailers can leverage their OMS data to analyze and improve store operations, merchandise planning, allocation and replenishment, etc.”
Baird said unified commerce starts with unified data. “We’re on a mission to deliver that, and our investment in Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud is an important step on that journey,” she said.
Tushar Sachdev, Aptos’ chief technology officer, said the initiative with Snowflake is tied to Aptos’ overall progression as a modern SaaS company. “In 2025, Aptos has committed to its largest R&D spend in our company’s history,” Sachdev said. “That investment is aimed at what matters most to our customers — including faster access to new features, enhanced performance and reliability, robust security and compliance, and, of course, streamlined and near real-time data powered by Snowflake.”

Sachdev said as soon as data from Aptos’ solutions lands in Snowflake, “it will be immediately available to our SaaS customers. For Aptos’ customers that already use Snowflake, exporting data from Aptos’ Snowflake environment into their own is as simple as one-click data sharing.”
Sachdev said leveraging Snowflake also reduces data exposure “without limiting our retail customers’ access and use of data, which aligns with our focus on robust data privacy and security. Overall, the benefits we’re bringing to our SaaS customers in 2025 with our unified data model are significant and differentiating. We’re excited for the year ahead.”
Aptos said it will be hosting live demos at the National Retail Federation’s Big Show next week in New York City.
